Biological materials in bags can be heated from frozen or cold temperatures to the optimum temperature for use. Examples include media for bioreactor operation. Controlled surface temperature ensures that material is not damaged. Constant gentle mixing provides rapid heating in a low shear environment. No messy water baths are needed.

Pasteurizing Biological Fluids
Biological storage bags can typically be heated up to 75C. This enables pasteurization and heat inactivation of fluids inside sealed bags.
