need an incubator for the electric SYSTEM20/50EH? |
No. The SYSTEM20/50EH is designed
for benchtop use. It has built-in temperature control and optional
CO2 mixing and aeration pumps. This system should not be used inside an incubator. |
| How does
the performance compare to the pneumatic unit? |
The performance of the
two units is identical. |
| How is
temperature controlled? What is the accuracy? |
Temperature is controlled
by sensing the surface temperature under the bag. This special SRTD temperature
probe provides an accurate (+/-0.5C) measurement. This sensor is
used to regulate heat to the underside of the bag. Studies have
shown that the temperature inside the bag is uniform within 0.1C
if the rocking rate is maintained above 6 rocks/minute. |
| Can I
stack multiple units? |
No.
But the CABINET20/50 option provides a stainless-steel
cabinet that can house 3 x SYSTEM20/50 bioreactors
and associated instrumentation. |
