WRI Loaner Program Rules

1. If GE Healthcare Wave Products Group accepts your research proposal, it will provide a System2/10EH Wave Bioreactor complete with necessary instrumentation for your project free of charge. This equipment remains the property of GE Healthcare Wave Products Group and is provided on loan. The maximum loan term is one (1) year.

2. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group will provide up to 2 Cellbags per month free of charge. Any other supplies must be purchased by the scientist.

3. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group reserves the right to decline any research proposal without assigning any specific reason.

4. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group reserves the right to terminate any research project for any reason whatsoever. The scientist is required to return the loaned equipment within one week of termination.

5. All loaned equipment must be returned clean, and in good condition, suitable for use by other participants in the program. Any repairs beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to the user. If the unit is not returned, the user will be charged the current retail price. The scientist is responsible for the proper packing, insurance, and shipping of the returned unit so that it is received in good condition.

 

6. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group is not responsible for any injury or property damage caused by the loaned equipment. Nor it is liable for loss of media, cells, or cell culture product.

7. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group may inspect the unit at the scientist’s facility during normal business hours after giving reasonable prior notice.

8. To continue participation, the scientist is required to submit a quarterly research report to GE Healthcare Wave Products Group describing the experiments performed and data obtained. A copy of any published data, presentation, or paper must be submitted to GE Healthcare Wave Products Group. If no report is received for two consecutive quarters, then the unit shall be presumed to be inactive, and GE Healthcare Wave Products Group may at its option ask for its immediate return.

9. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group asks that in any paper or publication, the scientist acknowledges the loan of equipment under the Wave Research Initiative
program.

10.All intellectual rights to the data and findings generated by the user remains the property of the institution/scientist performing the research. GE Healthcare Wave Products Group retains the right of first refusal to license such intellectual property.

11. Any modifications made by the user to the Wave Bioreactor or the Cellbag remain the property of GE Healthcare Wave Products Group.

 

12. The user acknowledges that certain confidential information may be provided by GE Healthcare Wave Products Group and the scientist shall not disclose such information to any third party without specific written authorization from GE Healthcare Wave Products Group. Any such information provided by GE Healthcare Wave Products Group shall be marked “CONFIDENTIAL.”

13. Any reference to Wave Bioreactor, Cellbag, or GE Healthcare Wave Products Group must include the statement that these are registered trademarks.
